Neenah Foundry Company and each of its affiliates (collectively “NFC,” “we,” “us” or “our”) take data privacy seriously. NFC has developed this Privacy Statement (this “Statement”) to describe how we may collect information about you through your interactions with us offline as well as online including through our website, both as a website user and customer, and our practices for using, disclosing, and sharing that information. NFC is the owner and operator of the website and the entity controlling the processing of your personal data. This Statement applies when we act as the data controller, meaning when we determine the purposes and means of processing information about you.

This Statement applies to information NFC collects about you on our website, through emails or other communications between you and NFC, or through information you may provide to us or we collect when you engage our services, buy our products, or otherwise interact with us. You consent to the collection and processing of your information as described in this Statement. IF YOU DO NOT AGREE WITH THE USES OF INFORMATION DESCRIBED IN THIS STATEMENT, THEN PLEASE DO NOT USE THE WEBSITE OR SUBMIT INFORMATION TO US.

We may change this Statement from time to time (see Changes to This Statement below). The “Effective Date” legend at the top of the page indicates when this Statement was last revised. Any changes will become effective when we post the revised Statement on the Website.

 

INFORMATION WE COLLECT

We collect personal information (which is information that identifies, relates to, describes, is capable of being associated with, or could reasonably be linked to you) when you:

Contact us. When you contact us, we collect from you any information that you chose to provide to us including your personal identifiers (your name, address, email address, and phone number) and professional or employment-related information (your job title and place of employment). We use this information to respond to your inquiry, to provide you with marketing information and other information about our company, to manage our customer relationship with you, and to provide you with our products or services.

Purchase our products or services. When you purchase our products or services, we collect from you your personal identifiers (your name, address, email address, and phone number), professional or employment-related information (your job title and place of employment), and commercial information (records of products or services you have purchased or considered purchasing in the past). We use this information to manage our customer relationship with you, to respond to inquiries, to provide you with information about other products or services that may be of interest to you, and to communicate with you regarding your purchase.

When you purchase any apparel or accessories from our Company Store, we collect from you your personal identifiers (your name, address, email address, and phone number) and your payment information (credit card number or other payment method). We use this information to process your order.

Visit us. When you visit one of our locations, we may collect from you your personal identifiers (your name, address, email address, and phone number), professional or employment-related information (your job title and place of employment), and may additionally collect visual information (video recording). We use this information to maintain the security and safety of our employees, customers, and offices and manufacturing facilities.

Register for an event. When you sign up for one of our events, or visit us at a trade show or other event, we may collect from you your personal identifiers (your name, address, email address, and phone number), professional or employment-related information (your job title and place of employment), including your interests. We use this information to register you for the event, maintain records of attendees, to contact you regarding future events, and we may also use this information to send you marketing communications, including topics or products that we think may be of interest to you.

Apply for employment. When you apply for a position with us, we collect from you your personal identifiers (your name, address, email address, and phone number), professional or employment-related information (your job title, place of employment, work experience, performance evaluations/references, relevant skills, licenses, and certifications, and any other information that you provide to support your application), education information (your education records), background information (your ability to work in the US, whether you are over 18 years of age, any record of a misdemeanor or felony), and, at your option, protected classifications (your gender, ethnic origin, veteran status, and disability). We use this information to process your application and evaluate your credentials for a position with us, and to perform analytics, including any government reporting.

Social Media. At the bottom of our homepage, in the “Follow Us” link, we provide links to our social media content (e.g., Neenah Foundry | LinkedIn and Neenah Foundry | Facebook). No personal information is transmitted to social media via our Sites unless you click on the links to the correspondent social media.

When you interact with our social media pages, we receive basic engagement metrics and use this information to improve our pages and enhance our content and marketing efforts. If you interact with these pages by, for example, posting comments or liking or sharing posts, any personal information that you post in these interactions or provide when registering for such social media, can be viewed and used by others. We may use such public information you provide on our social media to send you targeted marketing offers. We do not control the use or storage of the information that is collected and processed by social media websites, including how your information is used if you are logged into your social media account when you access our social media page(s). Additionally, when you visit our social media pages, we may receive internet or other similar activity through social media analytics. For example, we use LinkedIn analytics in connection with the operation of our LinkedIn page to obtain anonymized statistical data about visitors to our LinkedIn page. For this purpose, LinkedIn places a cookie on your device when you visit our LinkedIn page at Neenah Foundry | LinkedIn. Each cookie contains a unique identifier code that remains active for a period described in the LinkedIn Cookie Table unless it is deleted before the end of this period. LinkedIn receives, records, and processes the information stored in the cookie, including demographic information from any LinkedIn profile you may have, to provide us with anonymized metrics to help us measure the effectiveness of our LinkedIn page for marketing purposes and to help us improve our content. For more information about the privacy practices applicable to the NFC social media account, please refer to the specific privacy policies of the social media platform through which you engaged. These platforms maintain their own data handling practices, which govern the collection, use, and storage of your information.

Interact with our Website. In addition to personal information that you provide to us directly, we also collect internet or other electronic network activity from you automatically via cookies and similar tracking technologies when you visit our website. We use this information to enhance user experience, track you within the website to understand your browsing history, to customize and serve personalized content and analyze target markets for our products and services, to conduct analytics to improve the website and our content, to prevent fraudulent use of our website, and to diagnose and repair errors and to track and mitigate any security issue or abuse. Google Analytics. We use Google Analytics to measure traffic to our website and your use of our website for their improvement. To collect this information, Google Analytics installs cookies on your browser or reads cookies that are already there. Google Analytics also receives information about you from applications you have downloaded that partner with Google. We do not combine the information collected through the use of Google Analytics with personal information. Google’s practices with respect to your personal information collected by Google Analytics is in accordance with Google Analytics’ Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. You can prevent your personal information from being used by Google Analytics by downloading the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on found at Google Analytics Opt-Out. Additionally, you can opt-out of the use of certain cookies by visiting our cookie banner.

How you can control cookies. Most browsers are initially set up to accept cookies. However, if you prefer not to store cookies on your device, you can adjust how your Internet browser (like Chrome or Safari) responds to cookies (e.g., to warn you every time a cookie is sent, or to turn off all cookies). We are not responsible for the content of such websites, any products or services that may be offered through those websites, or any other use of the linked websites. 

 

ADDITIONAL PROTECTIONS FOR CHILDREN 

The Sites are not designed for or targeted to children under the age of 16. NFC will never knowingly solicit or collect personal information from a child under the age of 16 through the Sites without verifiable parental consent or unless that child’s parent or legal guardian has submitted the information in connection with the Sites. If we discover that a child under the age of 16 has submitted personal information without verifiable parental consent, we will delete that information. OUR RETENTION POLICY 

We store your Personal Information on NFC’s servers located in the United States. We retain this Personal Information for the period of time necessary to fulfill the purpose or purposes for which the information was collected (in pursuant of the objectives listed above) and for a period of time thereafter for our historical or archiving purposes.  We reserve the right to retain your Personal Data where retention is necessary for us to comply with a legal obligation. Where the processing of your Personal Data or Usage Data is based on your consent only, you have the right to withdraw this consent at any time. In that case, we will then erase your Personal Data or Usage Data and stop processing it. 

 

CHANGES TO THIS STATEMENT 

We may modify this Statement in our sole discretion at any time. If we do, we will post the changes to this page, and will indicate the Effective Date at the top of this Statement. We encourage you to review our Statement to stay informed. If we make changes that materially affect your privacy rights, and where required by applicable law, we will notify you by prominent posting on the Sites and/or via email, and obtain your consent, if required.

ADDITIONAL REGIONAL NOTICES

This portion of the Statement supplements the information contained above to describe the rights we provide to those consumers that are residents of certain states that have privacy regulations that are applicable to us. For residents of states without privacy regulations, or where your state regulation does not cover all of the following rights or choices, we will consider requests regarding such rights but will apply our discretion in how we process such requests. For states that have passed privacy regulations, but they are not yet in effect, we will also consider applying those state law rights prior to the effective date of such laws but will do so in our discretion.

Your Rights and Choices

Right to Access/Know.  You have the right to request that we disclose to you the following information covering the 12 months prior to your request:

 

You also have the right to request that we provide you with copies of the specific pieces of personal information we collected about you in the 12-month period preceding your request.

 You may only make a request for access twice within a 12-month period.

 

Right to Delete.  You have the right to request that we delete certain personal information that we collected from you, subject to certain exceptions. For example, if we are required by law to retain the information that you are asking to be deleted, we would not be able to delete the information until we are legally permitted to do so.

 

Right to Correct Information.  You have the right to request that we correct any inaccuracies in your personal information maintained by us.

 

Right to Non-Discrimination.  You have the right not to be discriminated against if you exercise any of your rights as described above.

 

Sensitive Personal Information.  We do not use or disclose sensitive personal information we collect for any purpose other than to provide the goods or services; to prevent, detect, and investigate security incidents; to resist malicious, deceptive, fraudulent or illegal actions directed at NFC, including to prosecute those responsible for such actions; to ensure the physical safety of persons; short-term transient use (e.g., non-personalized advertising shown as part of a consumer’s current interaction with the business, where that personal information is not disclosed to a third party and is not used to build a profile about the consumer or otherwise alter the consumer’s experience outside the current interaction of the business); to perform services on behalf of the business (e.g., maintaining or servicing accounts, providing customer service, processing or fulfilling orders and transactions, verifying customer information, processing payments, providing financing, providing analytic services, providing storage); to verify or maintain the quality or safety of a service or device that is owned, manufactured, or controlled by NFC or to improve, upgrade or enhance such service or device; or for purposes that do not infer characteristics about a consumer.

Only you, or a person registered with the appropriate governmental authority that you authorize to act on your behalf, may make a request related to your personal information. You must provide us with sufficient information that allows us to reasonably verify that you are the person about whom we collected the personal information, which may include (i) your name and email address if we have collected your information for marketing purposes or (ii) your name, email address, home postal address, and certain account information, depending on your request, if we have collected information for providing you with our products or services. You must also describe your request with sufficient detail to allow us to properly evaluate and respond to it.

If you are an authorized agent making a request on behalf of another individual, you must provide us with signed documentation that you are authorized to act on behalf of that person.

We cannot respond to your request or provide you with personal information if we cannot verify your identity or authority to make the request and confirm the personal information relates to you.

Appeal Rights

Personal Information Opt-Out Rights
Non-Cookie Personal Information. We do not disclose your non-cookie personal information to a third party unless you direct us to, for instance, if you would like us to direct the transportation company to ship the product to your location. If you do not agree to the disclosing of such information, you should not submit the information to us as providing the information will act as an “opt-in” for the disclosing of such information as necessary to fulfill the business purpose.
 
Cookie Personal Information.  To exercise your right to opt-out of the sale/sharing of your information via cookies, please visit our cookie banner
 
Global Privacy Control (“GPC”).  Some privacy laws require us to process GPC signals, which may also be referred to as opt-out preference signals or opt-out mechanisms. GPC is a signal sent by a platform, technology, or mechanism, enabled by individuals on their devices or browsers that communicate the individual’s choice to opt-out of the sale or sharing of personal data. To use GPC, you can download an internet browser or plugin to use on your current internet browser and follow the settings to enable GPC. We receive and process GPC signals on our Sites. We process GPC signals in a frictionless manner, which means that we do not: (i) charge a fee for use of our service if you have enabled GPC, (ii) change your experience with our Sites if you use GPC, or (iii) display a notification, pop-up, text, graphic, animation, sound, video, or any interstitial in response to the GPC.


 
California Shine the Light
Under California’s “Shine the Light” law, California residents who provide personal information in obtaining products or services for personal, family, or household use are entitled to request and obtain from us once a calendar year information about the customer information we disclosed, if any, with other businesses for their own direct marketing uses. If applicable, this information would include the categories of customer information and the names and addresses of those businesses with which we disclosed customer information for the immediately prior calendar year (e.g., requests made in 2025 will receive information regarding 2024 disclosure activities.

Please be aware that not all information is covered by the “Shine the Light” requirements and only information on covered disclosures will be included in our response.
 

MANAGING "DO NOT TRACK" SIGNALS 

Some browsers have an optional Do Not Track (“DNT”) feature that allows you to express your preference regarding tracking of your online activity by websites. When you choose to turn on the DNT setting in your browser, your browser sends a special signal to websites, ad networks, plug-in providers, and other web services you encounter while browsing to stop tracking your activity via cookies or other tracking technologies. Our Sites do not currently respond to DNT browser signals or mechanisms.
